Question about charges/etc.?

it's actually quite complex to explain what is going to happen. BUT very, very basically if the witnesses testimony is kosher and the damage to the car wasn't to severe then neighter the cops or prosecutor are gonna dig very deep into the case and will offer u a deal to compensate for the damage to the car, possibly a little probation and an order to stay away from the girl and her car. Sadly the cops and prosecutor are under-motivated to seek truth or justice in minor cases. The only way to motivate them is to get a really good lawyer, because the laziness of the justice system can be utilized to work against them, because if you have a real good defence the prosecutor and cops will have to work hard to build a case against you and as stated earlier they are lazy so the charges may get dropped simply because your attorney is too much of a hassle.
