How long does it take a child support order to process?

It really depends on the courts--how long it takes them to process the order, how long it takes to get a response, etc. It could take up to six weeks, so don't sit by your mailbox just yet. If they have to do a payroll deduction, it could take longer. However long it takes, however, you should get back pay.
